Stacey Ann Ball

Stacey Ball, 52, passed away on December 16, 2024. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend to many. 

Born and raised in Wausau, Stacey lived a life of love, laughter, and kindness. She was known for being very empathetic and mostly full of compassion. She loved making people laugh with her silly dancing as well as making fun of herself or anyone else around her.

Stacey worked in the service industry. Serving at the Wausau Mine Company was a big part of her career. She enjoyed engaging with the customers and making them laugh which also made her a delight to be around and work with. She had many regulars that would visit, considered her a friend, and looked forward to seeing her.

In Stacey’s free time her favorite thing to do was spend time with family - whether it was on the phone or visiting. Besides her family, her favorite things were chocolate, Mountain Dew, Michael Jordan and decorating for the holidays. Her favorite past time was brushing her teeth, which is probably why her smile is so pretty.

Stacey also had a lot of things that bothered her. Crinkling a bag (especially for more than a few seconds), drinking from a cup or a can using more than just a bottom lip, chewing with your mouth open or chewing too loud or chewing at all. And open mouth breathing was a definite no go. 

Her fear of bugs, especially spiders, was something out of a horror movie. She has jumped over fences, hopped decks, climbed people to get away. All while screaming at the top of her lungs.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Payton Ball and Taylor (Jordan) Graveen; her mother, Susan Ball; siblings, Nichole (Tim) Tome, Carrie (Scott) Romanowski, and Jeremy (Morgan) Ball; as well as seven nieces and nephews.

Our hearts ache as this is written. A celebration of life is planned for Stacey on Saturday, December 21st from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Chacks Day Break Bar & Grill in Schofield.
