Michael Gerald Miller

It is with great sorrow we announce that Michael Gerald Miller (50) passed away after a heroic battle with cancer. He passed away at home surrounded by his family, friends, and loved ones. 

Michael was a beloved husband, son, brother, father, and friend. He was the first-born son of Gerald and Pamela Miller (Freedom, WI). He was born in Oshkosh, WI in December 1973. At a young age, Michael developed a life-long love of hunting. Hunting was a passion he shared with numerous friends and mentees. He would later build his dream cabin on his hunting land that he affectionately named, Thunderidge. Michael graduated from UW-Oshkosh with a BA in Marketing and French. Upon graduation, he became a long-time member of the Wausau community for over 25 years. 

Michael is survived by a large blended family including his loving wife Dawnne; parents, Gerald & Pamela Miller; brothers, Corey (Michelle), Eric (Tracy) and Kevin (Samantha); children, Joshua (Kelly) Denzin, Alycia Denzin & Dave Macomber, Margaret Josephine, Trevor (Rachel) Trantow, Katherine Fagan, Alexander Miller, Brianna (Brett) Szulczewski, Benjamin Humphreys-Erdman, and Keith Miller; Grandchildren, Kyden, Alexis and Duncan Denzin, Leonidas and Ava Fowles, Aurora Szulczewski; Mother-in-law, Carol & Eddie Sahadi; Sisters-in-laws, Debbie Bandoch, Dianne Kluever and Denise Petrowski; Paternal grandfather, Gerald Miller Sr; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. 

A Celebration of Michael’s Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at Mountain of the Lord Evangelical Lutheran Church, 224650 Bittersweet Rd, Wausau. Pastor Andrew Buschkopf will officiate. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at the church.

While we are saddened at the loss of Michael, we are hopeful in Jesus’ promise that we will someday join him in Heaven.
