Joseph Clarence Sigmund

Joseph (Joe) Sigmund, 77, of Wausau, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours of Tuesday, February 4th, 2025.

Joe was born on October 18, 1947, to the late Edward and Mary Jane Sigmund. He graduated from Newman High School in 1965. For 35 years he was employed with the F. Dohmen Company, traveling many miles servicing drug stores across northern Wisconsin. 

Joe married his best friend and beloved companion, Sally Hebron, on September 27, 1969, and they recently celebrated 55 years of marriage.

Joe's favorite hobbies were his 1965 Mustang, snowmobiling for over 50 years, spending time at the cottage on Witches Lake and his Family.

Joe is survived by his wife, Sally; son, Mark (Lisa) Sigmund and granddaughter Kindal of Arbor Vitae; daughter, Sharla Sigmund of Madison. He is further survived by his two sisters, Patsy (Dale) Klinger of Mosinee and Jeanette (Alan) Graveen of Wausau; as well as a niece and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church, 501 Stewart Avenue in Wausau. Rev. Peter Williamson will officiate. Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until the time of service at the church. A luncheon will follow in the church parlors. Memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Wausau.
