Jane Ann Fochs

Jane A. (McIntyre) Fochs 93, of Schofield, Wisconsin, died peacefully on Saturday, October 19th, 2024, in her home.

Jane was born in 1931 to the late Franklin and Madelyn (Tiffany) McIntyre. She married Frederick J. Fochs on September 2, 1950. 

For many years, Jane served as an aid in the D.C. Everest School District. 

Prior to Fred’s passing, they enjoyed over 50 years of love and friendship together. You could always find them on the Wausau Country Club greens, camping, traveling, enjoying their home in Florida and their cottage in Rhinelander. 

Jane’s calendar was always full. She never wanted to miss a social gathering or a fun card game with her lifelong friends. 

Jane will be remembered as a loyal friend and loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.

Survivors include two sons, Michael (Nancy) Fochs and family: Carrie (Jeff) Broman, Keegan, Finley, and Mara, and Tiffany (Steve) Slamka; and Patrick Fochs (special friend Linda Fochs and her family, Dana Wincentsen, Heidi (Ron) Elgersma, Landon (Hannah), Nolan, Todd Wincentsen, Eric (Brooke), Brendan, Colby, Dane, Knox); beloved sister, Sue Strehlow; nieces, Cindy (John) Sumnicht, Tim (Carol) Fochs, and Becky (John) Hunsicker.

Memorial Service for Jane will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, October 25th, at Covenant Community Presbyterian Church, 1806 Weston Avenue, Schofield, with Pastor Jim Gates officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the church. 

In Lieu of Flowers, memorials may be directed to the Jane Fochs Memorial Fund. All donations will go to the charitable causes that Jane supported.
