James William Sippl, "Jim", passed away peacefully on February 17, 2025, under the care of St. Croix Hospice at Pride TLC of Weston. He was born on April 26, 1949, to the late Joseph and Dolores (Shallow) Sippl. He married Linda J. Kunschke on April 15, 1972, in Shawano, WI.
Jim was a quiet gentle man, often preferring to listen rather than speak. His family and friends knew him for his thoughtful nature, always grateful for the moments shared in each other's company. He cherished sitting in his favorite chair, surrounded by loved ones, particularly relishing the laughter and stories shared with his grandchildren. Jim found joy in simple pleasures, such as gathering around the campfire at Mayflower Lake, where he built wonderful friendships that enriched his life.
He was a proud member of what was affectionately called "The Random Street Gang," a close-knit group of four neighbors who were always there for each other. This bond was marked by their shared willingness to lend a hand, assist with projects, and just sit and talk over a beer. The gang even developed a signature “howl” that became a symbol of their friendship; this howl resonated with Jim, bringing him comfort in his final days. The unwavering support from his friends during this time meant the world to him and his family.
Jim is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Linda J. Sippl; their daughters, Amy (Adam) Jochem and Lisa (Scott) Ciomber; their son, Craig (Crystal) Sippl; and six beloved grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Glen and Dan Sippl; his sister, Lois Sickinger; and his grandson, Ethan Jochem.
Memorial service will be held at 5:00 PM on Friday, February 28, 2025, at Mount Olive Lutheran Church, 6205 Alderson Street, Weston, WI. Pastor Lance Hoelscher will officiate. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM until the time of service at the church.
